The Line-Up

This collection documents the stilt fishermen of Sri Lanka's southern coast, a fishing method as visually striking as it is culturally specific. Men sitting motionless on narrow wooden poles jutting from the ocean, fishing rods in hand, silhouetted against sky and sea. It's fishing that looks like sculpture, labour that resembles yoga, tradition that reads as contemporary art.
