CUSTOM COMMISSIONS
Sometimes the piece you need doesn't exist yet, so we create it. Share your vision, your space parameters, your aesthetic goals, and we'll develop original photography specifically for your project. This is for the projects that deserve something no one else will ever have.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

How do I know if I need a bespoke piece versus something from your existing collection?
If you've browsed our collection and found pieces you love but they're not quite the right size, colour palette, or level of exclusivity, that's when bespoke services shine. If you need something entirely unique to match a very specific vision or space requirement, custom commissions are the answer.

Do you work directly with designers and architects, or only with end clients?
We primarily partner with design professionals. We speak your language, understand your timelines, and budgets. You maintain the client relationship; we support you behind the scenes.​

CUSTOM SIZING & MODIFICATIONS

How large can you print?
We can produce museum-quality prints up to 5m on the longest side. For installations larger than that, we can create multi-panel compositions that read as a single piece.

What if I need an unusual aspect ratio or shape?
We embrace the unusual. Vertical panoramas for stairwells, ultra-wide horizontals for corridors, perfect squares, triptychs, we've done it all. Some compositions work better than others for extreme crops, but we'll guide you.

Can you match a piece to my client's existing colour scheme?
Absolutely. Send us paint swatches, fabric samples, or finish specifications, and we can adjust tone, warmth, saturation, and contrast. We'll provide digital proofs for your approval before printing.

How close will the custom piece match what I see on screen?
We provide calibrated digital proofs and can send physical sample swatches. However, screens vary, so we always recommend reviewing our colour-accurate proofs before final production.

FRAMING

Do all pieces come framed?
Our standard collection offers both framed and unframed options. For custom work, we recommend our framing services to ensure proper mounting and presentation of custom-sized pieces.

Can I use my own framer?
Certainly. We'll deliver your print professionally packaged with mounting specifications. However, our partner framers specialize in large-format fine art and understand the specific handling our pieces require.

What framing styles do you offer?
Contemporary options include: floating frames (wood or metal), gallery frames with or without mats, sleek metal profiles, museum shadowboxes, and acrylic face-mounting. We'll recommend what best suits each piece.

How long does custom framing add to the timeline?
Typically 2-3 additional weeks beyond print production. Rush services are available for an additional fee.

COMMISSIONED WORK

What's involved in commissioning an original piece?
We start with an in-depth consultation about your space, design intent, and vision. You'll share inspirations, required dimensions, and aesthetic direction. We then develop a creative brief, location scout if needed, and present concepts for your approval before shooting.

Can I be involved in the creative process?
We encourage it. Many designers appreciate reviewing shot selections and providing input during editing. Others prefer to trust our expertise and be surprised. Either approach works.
​
What if I don't like the commissioned work?
We work in phases with approval gates. You'll review concepts, preliminary compositions, and editing directions before final production. We don't proceed to the next phase without your sign-off. Our goal is collaboration, not surprises.
​
Do you travel for commissions?
Yes. Travel fees are added to commission costs and depend on location and duration. Some of our best work has come from location-specific shoots that capture exactly what a space needs.
​
Who owns the rights to commissioned work?
You receive exclusive print rights for your specified use and editions. We retain copyright and portfolio rights unless an exclusive buy-out is negotiated (additional fee applies).
​
How many revisions are included?
Two rounds of refinements are included in commission pricing. Additional revision rounds are billed at $500 each to ensure timelines stay on track.
